Presentation Topic: Delivering Podiatric Care As Part of the High-Performance Team: Assessment, Treatment, and Injury Prevention in Elite Athletes

Emma is an experienced Podiatrist who has both a Master of Health Specialisation (Podiatric Medicine) from University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Podiatry from Latrobe University. 

Her clinical practice specialises in biomechanics, sports medicine and injury management, with a strong interest in winter sports (skiing, ice hockey and ice skating), football and running (sprinting, long distance and trail). Junior and paediatric athletes are also a clinical interest after she completed her Masters in 2011 with specific paediatric sport and biomechanical components.

Emma is the current Australian Open Grand Slam Tennis Podiatrist working within the players medical services department of sports medicine practitioners and allied health specialists.

She is also the current Western Bulldogs AFL / AFLW / VFL / VFLW Podiatrist, and AFL Women’s National Academy Podiatrist, so can offer consults on all lower limb football related injuries as well as football boot prescriptions. Emma is a qualified Master Boot Fitter of ski and snowboard boots which includes fitting and modifying boots, customising footbeds and problem-solving boot fit concerns.
