Presentation Topic: Lower Limb Profiling: A systematic approach to assessment and rehabilitation of the lower limb.
Tom is a physiotherapist with Post. Graduate qualifications in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and a Masters degree in Strength & Conditioning. He has developed this skillset over 15 years of practice within the private, sporting, public and defence sector and specialises in the understanding of lower limb biomechanics related to movement and athletic performance.
He has a passion for learning and educating - developing and creating an online course for allied health practitioners wanting to upskill their knowledge in exercise science and lower limb rehabilitation. His approach to lower limb rehab is simple and systematic; drawing from physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, skill acquisition and movement science.
Over the last few years, he's delved into university education – teaching at both Deakin University (Exercise Science), as well as at ACU (Physiotherapy). Alongside this he has worked as a physiotherapy assessor for the Australian Physiotherapy Council – assessing overseas qualified physiotherapists on the APC practical Exam.
